Challenge Rules

The rules that decide whether you qualify and what happens to the Prize Pool.

Draft — not yet legally reviewed. This page describes how Mosey is intended to work. It has not been approved by counsel and is not the final agreement. Final terms will be published before paid entry is available.

Qualifying

You qualify by meeting or exceeding the daily step goal on every required day.

Days are judged individually and never averaged. A day well above the goal does not make up for a day below it: 20,000 steps on Monday and 0 on Tuesday is one day cleared and one day missed.

When a day starts and ends

A challenge day runs midnight to midnight in the timezone captured when you joined, and that timezone is fixed for the life of your entry. Travelling does not move a day you have already walked, and daylight-saving days are measured exactly.

A cleared day stays cleared

Apple gives no guarantee that step data only ever increases, and a later reading can be lower than an earlier one. Mosey records the revised total but does not take back a day you have already cleared. While a challenge is still being verified, the reverse also holds: late data proving you met the goal can clear a missed day.

If Mosey cannot read your activity

You are responsible for keeping Health tracking and syncing working, and for opening the app often enough for your data to reach Mosey.

A required day not established as cleared by the time qualification is determined means the requirement was not met — whether the record shows you below the goal or shows nothing at all. Documented exceptional circumstances may be reviewed by support at Mosey’s discretion.

Settlement

After the final day ends, Mosey makes one last attempt to read every required day so delayed activity is counted. Qualification is then determined and locked.

Qualifying participants split the Prize Pool equally, each share rounded down to the cent. Any remainder that cannot be divided evenly is retained rather than given to an arbitrary participant. If nobody qualifies, the pool is retained.

Dropping out and cancellations

Choosing to stop is recorded as a withdrawal. It does not refund your Entry Fee and does not release your Stake from the Prize Pool. If Mosey cancels a challenge before it starts, the full Entry Fee is refunded to a stated destination.

Withdrawals

Winnings are credited to your Mosey cash balance as withdrawable cash. Promotional credit is separate, is never withdrawable, and never becomes cash.

  • Minimum withdrawal: $25.00
  • Up to $500.00 in any rolling 24 hours
  • Up to $2,000.00 in any rolling 7 days
  • No more than 3 withdrawal requests in any rolling 24 hours

Fair play

Only sensor-recorded activity submitted through Apple Health counts. Manually entered data, screenshots, exports, and figures from other apps are not accepted as evidence.
