Community Guidelines

Every Mosey challenge has a room. These are the rules for what happens in it.

Draft — not yet legally reviewed. This page describes how Mosey is intended to work. It has not been approved by counsel and is not the final agreement. Final terms will be published before paid entry is available.Draft version: 2026-10-23

Who can see your messages

In a public challenge, your messages can be read by any signed-in Mosey user who can view that challenge. They are not posted to the open internet and nobody without a Mosey account can read them — but treat them as public within Mosey, because they are.

In a private challenge, your messages can be read only by the person who created the challenge and the people who actually entered it. Holding an invite is not enough: the room opens when you join.

Only the creator and the people who entered can post or react. Anyone who can read a room can report a message and block a user.

Be respectful

Trash talk is part of a step challenge and it is welcome. Cruelty is not. The line is simple: you are talking to real people who have put their own money on finishing, and nobody should finish a challenge feeling worse for having been in the room.

What is not allowed

Mosey has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Do not post:

  • Harassment, bullying, or threats
  • Hate or discriminatory abuse of any kind
  • Sexual content involving minors, or any sexual exploitation content
  • Anything illegal, or that helps somebody do something illegal
  • Scams, spam, or flooding a room with repeated messages
  • Someone else’s private information — address, phone number, financial details
  • Impersonation of another person, of Mosey, or of Mosey staff
  • Links. They are refused in challenge chat and cannot be posted
  • Anything encouraging self-harm, disordered eating, or violence
  • Coordinated harassment, or ganging up on a participant to put them off

Reporting

Press and hold any message to report it. You can report a message in any room you can read, including a public challenge you have not entered. Reports go to Mosey operators, not to the person who posted, and the person is not told who reported them.

We review reports promptly and put serious abuse and safety issues first. Our target is to act on substantiated reports within 24 hours of review.

Blocking

Press and hold a message to block its author. You stop seeing their messages straight away. They are not told, and nothing about the challenge changes: your steps, your Stake, the Prize Pool, and anything you are owed all carry on exactly as before. Blocking hides words; it does not remove anybody from a challenge.

Enforcement

Some content is refused automatically before it is posted. Beyond that, Mosey can hide or remove a message, stop an account from posting, and suspend or terminate an account. Severe or repeated violations can mean permanent removal.

Content you delete, and content we hide, may be kept after it stops being visible so that it is still available for moderation, safety, and legal purposes.

Enforcement in a chat room never changes the money. Qualification, prize pools, payouts, and refunds are decided by the challenge rules and nothing that happens in a room affects them.

Contact

Report objectionable content in the app, or write to support@playmosey.com if something needs attention outside a room — including anything urgent about someone’s safety.
