What Mosey collects, why, and what it deliberately does not do with your health data.

Draft — not yet legally reviewed. This page describes how Mosey is intended to work. It has not been approved by counsel and is not the final agreement. Final terms will be published before paid entry is available.Draft version: 2026-08-29

Health data

Mosey reads step counts from Apple Health with your permission. It reads step data only — not workouts, heart rate, sleep, location, or any other category. Step totals are used to decide whether you met the goal for a challenge day, and for nothing else.

  • Never used for advertising
  • Never sold, and never shared with a data broker
  • Never included in an analytics event or an error report
  • Only the daily total and the window it covers are stored — never raw samples

Account information

Mosey stores the information needed to operate your account: your email address from the sign-in provider you choose, your username, your preferred daily step goal, how you heard about Mosey, and information tied to challenge participation such as the timezone captured when you join one.

At signup you confirm that you are 18 or older, and Mosey records that confirmation. If you enter a paid challenge, Mosey also asks for your date of birth to confirm eligibility, so an account that has never entered a paid challenge has none on file. Where a date of birth is held, age is derived when it matters rather than stored separately.

Payment information

Card details are handled by a third-party payment provider and never reach Mosey’s systems. Mosey stores a reference to a payment, not the payment method.

What Mosey keeps

Financial records — entries, fees, prize payouts, and balance movements — are kept as an append-only history. They are not edited or deleted, because they are the record of money that moved. Some information therefore persists after an account closes.

Your choices

You can withdraw Health permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Mosey stops reading new activity and does not alter days already recorded. You can request access to your data or deletion of your account by contacting us, subject to the financial record retention above.
